AHIMA Grassroots Advocacy Award
IHIMA is excited to announce the AHIMA Grassroots Advocacy Award. This award is presented annually at the AHIMA Advocacy Summit to the top state that exhibits significant grassroots and advocacy engagement on policy areas in the AHIMA Advocacy Agenda for the previous year. Now is the time to start working on contributing to the AHIMA Grassroots Advocacy Award in 2025! The following documents outline what the award is, how to garner points, and how to report your engagement to ensure our state receives those points. All AHIMA members are eligible to receive points through the outlined methods.
We encourage all members of IHIMA to engage in federal advocacy, through the AHIMA campaigns in its Action Center, attending the AHIMA Advocacy Summit, attending AHIMA advocacy events, including receptions, webinars, and briefings, and volunteering for workgroups with the AHIMA Policy & Government Affairs department. We want to make sure our state is well-represented, so engaging early and often is recommended! If you have any questions on how to engage or how to gain points, please contact us at [email protected]. Indiana Won the 2024 AHIMA Grassroots Advocacy Award! The Grassroots Advocacy Award was presented at the 2025 AHIMA Advocacy Summit in two separate categories: a Large State Category (states with more than 1,000 members) and a Small State Category (states with less than 1,000 members).
